Now while there is knife play, gun play, blood, and other kinks that I could talk about that’s not what caused me to like this book. Also, I appreciated how the author did not design the FMC to waver from her bruteness, rebelliousness, and strong-headed nature. But then seeing her going all "I hate you four but fuck I'm still turned on by you'll" and the guys changing from "cute bunnies" to "bloody werewolves" randomly for 500 FUCKING PAGES. It was a long one though, it didn’t display pages but for how long it took me to read, I would guess at least 600-700 pages, though I could be wrong.

In spite of what her harem dudes say about her (see above), this is a girl who has zero sense of self worth. The Vipers run and own the city so when Roxy's estranged father finds himself in their debt he pays his due in flesh with his daughter. So yes, the size of this book was one of the biggest reasons why I was putting off this book, but LET ME TELL YOU, despite the size of this book (over 600 pages), it really is a quick read because the story is constantly progressing and the relationships between Roxy and the guys are constantly evolving. Its offset by the brilliant characterisation which makes this so much more than just some hot words on paper.

Roxy refers to John Wick a few times and this book does remind me of John Wick in a way because it was quite bloody and the bodies do pile up throughout the book. Yes, she does fall head over heels in love with them, and very early on (by around page 60) she even fantasises about them, but Roxy is painted on the blurb, and at the beginning of this book, as a woman who isn't pushed around by anyone. There are better books out that that have the dark romance element without going overboard in such a cheesy and macabre way. Cringe AF and I regret every minute of it I wish I could go back three days to when I didn't know this book existed. I highly recommend reading over the trigger warnings that the author provides for this book before reading it yourself.

The audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Hollie Jackson and Cornell Collins. If most triggers don’t bother you and you are accustomed to dark romance and like it, this might be a decent read for you. This book is essentially just LOTS of triggering sexual situations (sometimes sadistic IMO) over and over to the point of monotony. all that happens is this group of pervy tough guys kidnaps a girl (for absolutely no reason) and they hate her at first but she has sex with all of them so they like her by the end of the book.

Being excited at the idea of Gang rape and having absolutely NO remorse or upset about it whatsoever? She's unpredictable, resilient and pragmatic she also isn't exactly thrilled to find herself the personal property of the Vipers. When the Vipers got to Roxy’ bar, they weren’t sure what to expect given how weak her father is, but they obviously didn’t expect the woman with silver hair, tattoos covering her body, piercings, and a baseball bat and swing strong enough to bring one of the Vipers down. This bitch really got confessions and proposals out of nowhere in the same time frame as God allegedly created heaven and earth. Storyline/My Thoughts: I’m going to admit, too, that this book was not a favorite, but I did like some aspects of it.

There was only one or two scenes where more than one of the were intimate with Roxy at the same time. Kenzo controls the gaming halls and all gambling across the city he's Ryder's blood brother and the younger of the two. One minute, she wants to escape and get her life back, and the next, she is madly in love with her kidnappers?
