It's like we spent this novel questioning the case against Isaac Holt. I am still here wondering, what was the point of it all? Isabelle is setting of on her first assignment for the FBI. She is nervous and has a fear of flying, she’s making her way through the airport when she literally runs into the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. He ends up helping her overcome her fears, distracting her and making her feel at ease, she is drawn to him- and they have a connection that’s electric. He intrigues her like no one else ever has before. But when she arrives at her destination she is given a file that will help brief her on her assignment, when she opens it, she sees the sexy face of the man who’d helped on the flight. I still have my original half review saved on my notes and maybe one day I’ll post it. But I was in a completely different place then than I am now. And I think that is one reason why I could never have finished this review before now. Isaac and Izzy are still our main characters that we are following, but we see a lot of the same supporting people too, like Isaacs right hand man, Hugo, amongst others. Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. Izzy is arrested and being framed for murder. “I knew something wasn’t right when the heaviness that has been plaguing my chest the past week amplified. But I never expected it to be something as mammoth as this. The beautiful, kind-hearted, never says a bad word about anyone, Isabelle has been arrested for murder. You think I would have recognized the signs. The protectiveness she displayed earlier today when I said I didn’t need her to protect me. Her bold statement about not being able to breathe without me in her life. The fact that she allowed her hands to become stained to help my family. They were all signs I should have been watching for. Isabelle’s possessiveness of me is just as paramount as my protectiveness of her. I would do anything in my power to protect her, anything at all. Obviously, Isabelle, fells the same way about me.”

Enigma: The Mystery unmasked by Shanti Boyes a twiterpating five-star read. This is the third book in the Enigma series and it is just as fast paced and thrill filled as the first book. One of the things about this series is how we are shown how Isabella Brahn has been through a lot, and has had to fight for everything she believes in and loves, we are shown that no matter how hard she fights, she can’t always win. This story goes from strength to strength, I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. You can’t help but watch her fight and want to stand alongside her holding her hand and getting the punching bag ready. This series had romance, (lots of) sex, suspense, mystery and misdirection to lead us, the reader, to think one thing is going to happen when perhaps something else is going to take place. An Enigma is a defined as a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand. I am really enjoying the friendship that is building between Isabelle and Hugo – I really like Hugo but I am starting to wonder what his story is – there is a few hints about him during the books but nothing is every fully disclosed! I hope we find out more about him in the final book! I love that we still have chapters from both Isaac and Isabelle’s POV. We also get to find out more about Regan in this book too, the name floated about in previous books but we formally get introduced to the character in this book! I’m not quite sure I’m going to view cupcake frosting in the same light again thought after this book!

The night that he was arrested and his home trashed by the FBI Isaac got himself drunk, He got Hugo to take him to his apartment forgetting Clara was there. When he awoke the next morning he was distressed to see Clara in the same bed as him. Being so drunk he could not remember if anything had happened between the both of them. His first rational thoughts were of Izzy even though she had spent the last few months seeing him while the FBI were investigating him and she was an FBI agent. When Clara spitefully tells Izzy that she and Isaac slept together, she decides to bring the matter up with Isaac, instead of listening to what he might have to say she storms out of their hotel room telling him it’s over. The first 45% of this book was spent wanting to sleep with Isaac Holt and the other 55% was spent sleeping with Isaac Holt.

Just when Isaac thinks he has everything under control another bombshell is dropped in his lap. Will he be able to let it go and trust Isabelle ever again? “The past month has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. It has been a hazy blur of lust and confusion. There is no doubt in my mind that I loved Ophelia. But I can’t describe my feelings for Isabelle. They are prodigious and unexplainable.” Isaac and Izzy are not only in a fight for her freedom on murder charges but they are also in for a fight of their life for their relationship. With the evidence against Izzy looking more like planted evidence Regan is now sure she can get Izzy off the murder charges but that will have to wait until it goes to court for the judge to decide. Until he judge makes his ruling there is nothing Isaac and Izzy can do but wait. However with the one single indiscretion Isaac has had since he and Izzy became a couple hanging over his head he is in a mess and everything is worthless to him if he doesn’t have Izzy in his life. Neither Isabella or Isaac are what they seem on the outside, and in the author’s own words ‘Until you have your own legitimate reason not to like someone, you should treat them how you wish to be treated’ I have loved this first book and can’t wait to get my teeth sunk into Isaac #2. The only downfall with this book was the cliff-hanger ending, but that just made me more eager to get onto the next book. I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap." I won’t,” he breathes out with a relieved sigh. “I’ll tell her you’re indisposed or some shit. She loves me, so she’ll believe me.” Any guy who tells you he is carrying a condom in his wallet in case of an emergency is full of shit. We only put a condom in our wallet with the full intention of using it the night we put it in there.” This boxed set is the best way to explore this series and Ms. Boyes’ work. It’s incredible value for money, four books for the price of one and no wait between books. So, if you are intrigued by the series or are thinking about whether to get the boxed set or not, dive right in and go for it, you are bound to love them just as much as I did. But be prepared to develop a serious addiction to Ms. Boyes stories.
