It fills in the domestic bliss of Marko and Alana on the planet Gardenia… Oh wait. Bills need to be paid, and Alana has to get a job (and gets into drugs) while Marko is a stay-at-home dad who’s feeling more and more estranged from his wife. Drugs and drudgery are straining this family.

Exciting how this series takes on topics like parenthood, war, trauma, sex positivity, interracial marriage, mourning and drugs with a big dose of humor I’m thoroughly hooked now. That was the moment I got the entire series. Because there’s no way I won’t want to finish. Unless there’s no other way, Alana, Marko… There are certainly very adult topics and scenes but they’re very obviously not included to “disturb” or “provoke” but they’re sensible parts of the story.
