El guión continua siendo el punto fuerte de esta serie. Es el que te hace pasar las páginas con avidez. Contribuye a ello las continuas sorpresas y el poco apego que los autores tienen a sus personajes.Limited omnibus editions have 24 issues in a slipcase with several extras. The first volume is signed by Kirkman and Adlard. There are 300 of this edition. Later volumes were released with 3000 pieces each. There is also a deluxe limited edition (signed by Kirkman/Adlard) with 300 pieces available. Credit must be given also to Charlie Adlard for his reliably impressive art from portraying the grim brutality of the world the characters live in to dealing with powerful emotional scenes. It takes skill to provoke a reaction from a reader with nothing more than a few panels of dialogue free art but Adlard makes it look easy. The unfairly overlooked Cliff Rathburn deserves credit too for his gray tones, The Walking Dead much like Romero's Night of the Living Dead just doesn't/wouldn't look right in colour. So, I thought I`d give the comic another try. And, what the hey, may as well splurge and get the Omnibus hardcovers while I`m at it, right? En su momento había leído sólo los dos primeros capítulos (publicados en el primer tomito de Ovni), y aunque me gustaron, colgué mallll por distintas razones, hasta que tuve a mano los dos primeros tomos recopilatorios y me los leí de corrido. Me va gustando bastante, pero supongo que se va a ir poniendo mejor.

En el apartado gráfico, debo destacar algunos planos de viñetas y claros oscuros muy sugerentes; también están muy conseguidas las siluetas a contraluz y los animales, especialmente. No puedo decir lo mismo de los humanos no infectados; un poco feunos, y las mujeres están dibujadas con poca gracia. Los muertos vivientes tienen sus más y menos; unos son magníficos y otros algo vagos (el dibujo, claro). Los fondos no tienen una definición muy apreciable (quizá me acostumbré al manga, que suele ser al revés...). lo más relevante en el plano negativo son los Zoom de personajes, y el dibujo de los niños (que parecen pequeños adultos).This review is in response only to the deluxe hardcover, which contains issues 1-24, and should not be confused with other releases.
