Description

One place where the 3D printing is dominant is the aesthetics of the Selle San Marco Shortfit 2.0 3D. Specialized uses a rather closed outer in the Power Mirror and, while the first generation Fizik Antares Versus Evo is a bit more open, Fizik closed up the pattern further for the second generation Vento Argo. Selle San Marco eschews both with a much bolder design language that really shows off the 3D printing. progressive absorption and Xsilite rails provide strength and ensure comfort on every pedal stroke. This high-tech

Overall, if you are looking for a short-nosed saddle with an open channel, this particular Aspide is worth trying, if you can. The open central channel had a noticeable effect on comfort – on shorter rides at least – and I found myself staying in the saddle more than usual. The abrupt shape and padding around the open channel might be an issue, though, and could impact overall comfort, especially as the miles mount up. VerdictSuperlight full carbon fiber rails with oval section (9,8 mm x 7 mm) with PATENTED DNA (Dynamic Node Action) technology which prevents twisting and keeps the front of the saddle narrow for great pedalling freedom. It makes the Carbon fiber rails even stiffer and, give to the central geometry a longer section to ensure more extensive saddle adjustment. This Rails is used on Superleggera and Carbon FX saddles. An adaptor might be required with some seat posts.

It comes in the same two widths (140mm or 155mm), and sells for 400€ as the Carbon FX with full carbon rails or around 50€ less as the Shortfit 2.0 3D Racing with titanium Stealth Xsilite rails – available from late September 2022. Selle San Marco Allroad & road colors weather condition. A special production process guarantees excellent fatigue resistance. All Racing level saddlesThe very first time I got on the Specialized 3D printed saddle, I was in love. I wasn't necessarily in love with the shape but using 3D printing for the padding absolutely changes what is possible. The ability to vary the structure of the matrix very precisely allows a brand to tune softness vs stiffness in a way that's impossible with traditional foam. What you get, at least from Specialized, is a saddle that's much softer than you'd expect from a serious performance saddle. Selle San Marco says: "The SHORTFIT saddle was created to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists who, for certain types of training sessions or rides, rotate their bust a lot moving to a position close to the handlebars. The special ergonomic shape of this new saddle features reduced length and ensures proper support in the generous rear section and optimum pressure distribution in the front section. I did the fit process for my size 43 feet, and came out with an L2 insole, indicating a slightly longer than average heel:arch and a middle of the road Medium arch.
