Avengers meets Star Wars for some Indy-flavoured full-throttle sci-fi-western-fantasy hi-jinks in the vein of Whedon’s Serenity. After acquiring Knowhere from the Collector, we find the Guardians working to repair the extreme damage done by Thanos—determined to make Knowhere a safe haven, not only for themselves, but for all refugees displaced by the harsh universe. Three years is a long time, and Endgame feels like an eternity of go after the successive disappointments of late with this particular franchise, making you wonder whether we really could have done with this movie back in 2020.

I already rip my movies, that's not an issue, but for convenience, it sucks first iTunes now it seems Google. review, it successfully "sends [the Guardians (and Gunn)] out on an emotional and action-packed high note. Where Winter Soldier was game-changing, and arguably the most tense and downright brutal of any entry thus far (and, indeed, most since), Guardians of the Galaxy was just plain insane fun. Fiery energy weapons - and fire itself - as well as explosions, lighting and tech displays - and Warlock himself - all enjoy the gift of HDR, and there's precious little discernible difference here between the streaming counterpart's Dolby Vision and the disc's HDR - the disc's higher bitrate giving it the edge in terms of refinement.But, credit where it's due, much like the quality of this particular MCU entry is a cut above its recent peers, the quality of this physical media release is a step up too, not only delivering the excellent native 4K HDR video that's been pretty reliably afforded by them, but also (likely) capitulating to director James Gunn's desire for multiple aspect ratios - gifting the image a more "IMAX flavoured" look than any of their other recent disc releases, releases which have had IMAX enhancement on Disney+.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 comes with the standard Blu-ray edition and a redeemable digital code. just a tad darker overall than the 1080 version, though things still pop amazingly well as in the kind of trippy sequence in Orgocorp. but rather commendably, I just as frankly didn't experience any feeling of disjointedness when the aspect ratios changed. It's a tremendous ride, with weighted effects elements carrying a decent amount of LFE, perhaps more than we've come to expect from Disney's Atmos offerings. James Gunn is on hand in some supplements on the 1080 disc included in this package stating that he feels Guardians of the Galaxy was "about the mother", Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

Is it the one last tip of excellence for the MCU or will they head into exciting territory that hits the highs of the early years. As it is, Gunn's ambition was always to close out this chapter of the Guardians, and that is precisely what he does, with some laugh-out-loud hijinks, and fabulous wit, as you'd only expect, but also with some pretty dark revelations and heartbreaking/tear-jerking turns.
