This works just like when you have multiple displays, which is pretty novel technology, and genuinely handy if you hop locations around the office, switch between a laptop and desktop to do your work, or need multiple devices to work out of a hotel room. Except, if I have to pick a single mouse as the one mouse that I want to use on all of my device, I would rather go with the MX Master. I plugged a spare receiver that has been paired to one of the profile of the MX Anywhere 2 and a Logitech K800 wireless keyboard into the box, and have another receiver that has been paired to another profile on the MX Anywhere 2 plugged into my main box. Part of this stems back to being comfortable with a desktop PC, and part of it has to do with the inconsistent quality of trackpads over the years.

The software is very flexible, so you can make the scroll wheel pushes (or any of the buttons) perform specific functions like pulling up the calculator, raising the volume, or even executing a macro like Control-V to paste. So If I need to do something with the netbook, I only need to switch the profile on my mouse, and it will be presented to the netbook. This is not a gaming mouse, so 1600 DPI is generally plenty in my experience and I prefer closer to 1000 for office tasks anyway.

Visually appealing, with a straightforward design, the rubber finger rests on both flanks vaunt cool geometric patterns, and the contoured metallic lines toward the back of the mouse give it a modern look. While it means that I no longer have to carry around spare AAs on my backpack, when the time is due, the built in battery capacity will degrade over time, and will eventually stop storing charges.SCS Global Services is a global leader in third-party environmental and sustainability verification, certification, auditing, testing and standards development. Of course I could and will just use Bluetooth for now, because then I won’t have to plug / unplug the receiver all the time or even keep with me… But I’m not sure if I want to keep Bluetooth always on on my laptop especially when I’m out and about.

Included in the packaging is an instruction manual on how to open up the mouse and remove the battery for safe disposal purpose . I’ve always valued Logitech as a company, and found that their mice and keyboards have been of the most consistent in quality. For such a small mouse, the ergonomics are pretty good, with a nice wide shape and contoured sides for your fingers to rest on. The fact it can work anywhere, including on glass desks that seem to be used in every hotel room, is also a huge plus.theduckofdeath - Tuesday, December 22, 2015 - link It was a great mouse for its size, but far from perfect. I myself have a dedicated office laptop, A Dell Vostro 3660 that I usually leave at the office, a stay-at-home-most-of-the-time mobile workstation Lenovo Y510p, a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet, and a Galaxy S4 smartphone.
