If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set.I loved this story of the little doll who has been forgotten in the attic by her (now-grown up) former owner, and finds a new child to love her one Christmas Eve. In any case, I found this a fairly engaging tale, particularly as I enjoy doll stories that have a melancholy streak in them, and Miss Flora's early loneliness definitely fit the bill. A team of professionals has expertly processed each page, delicately preserving its content without alteration. This endearing little book has the shining simplicity and the ageless appeal that is felt in the best loved for children the world over. We found this book important for the readers who want to know more about our old treasure so we brought it back to the shelves.

Old toys and dolls fascinated her all her life, and over the years she acquired an extensive collection.
