The cover? The cover is better than the title, I think. Is this a ghost story or a whodunnit? And, not that it matters hugely, the Hedgehog on the cover is not in a hedgerow. But I like the cover and I’d give it 9/10. Tom Moorhouse will talk about his new book which is all about the hedgehog. Tom is an author and works as a freelance conservation scientist. He was previously a Senior Researcher at Oxford University's Zoology Department. Ghosts in the Hedgerow is a funny but serious, light-hearted but uncomfortably honest lament for the plight of our favourite mammal and a strong call for widespread conservation to be implemented. It is a well-researched and compelling read, filled with footnotes, puns and anecdotes that bring this topic to life. This truly is the perfect read for anyone who loves hedgehogs, wants to be more wildlife friendly, or is just interested in the complicated problems of conservation efforts in Britain. Any project that highlights the plight of hedgehogs is invaluable and GHOSTS IN THE HEDGEROW fulfils that task admirably. Tim Rice, lyricist, author and host of the Get Onto My Cloud podcast Tom Moorhouse is brilliant at weaving complex ecological ideas into an easily accessible and very entertaining form – Ghosts in the Hedgerow is a delight."
