Description

The 2 full-sized Hypervolts are about the same size (7.5” x 2.5” x 9.5”) except that the handle on the 2 Pro is about an inch longer (10.4”). This is good territory for any full-sized massage guns but we’ve seen smaller devices. Our three Hypervolt models (current generation) lined up for a detailed testing. Massage guns are a hot commodity in the fitness world today. If you aren't familiar with a massage gun, it's a device that uses percussion technology to compress muscles in concentrated pulses and reduce soreness, eliminate pain, and enhance flexibility. Much like our Therabody review of 2022 and Theragun review of 2022, this review of the popular recovery giant Hypervolt massage guns breaks down each massage gun the brand offers. When you use scheduled charging, the light is purple. All you need to do is plug the charger into your car and the Hypervolt will start charging at your scheduled time.

Are there any downsides? The charger head holster is optional (the alternative is letting the charger head hang from the reel). Other than that, it’s a slam dunk.Stroke length is an important characteristic of any percussion massager. Generally, the longer the stroke length the more percussive the device feels. If it’s too short, then it may be a vibrational therapy device and not a percussion massager (but it can still be effective though). But overall, the Hyperice app isn’t exactly user-friendly. Trying to select a routine for my Pro proved difficult on multiple occasions. Whenever I’d try to select something specifically for my device, no routines could be found. I ended up having to apply a filter for an older Hypervolt model, the Plus, to see any programs pop up. This could be because the Pro is a relatively new addition to the Hyperice family, so hopefully, there'll be a fix for this in future updates. Also worth noting is that my “recommended routines” very often required other Hyperice products, like the Hypersphere or the Hyperice X. The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro has a relatively common design — much like the Sportneer Deep Tissue massager and the Legiral Le3, the Pro’s long vertical handle is affixed to its horizontally oriented shaft and brushless 90 watt motor. This T-shape configuration doesn’t allow for a lot of variety in your grip like the triangular Theragun Elite does, but its basic, straightforward construction works well to target most of your body’s tight spots.

But if you’re looking for a cut-price budget option, this is your knight in solid if unspectacular armour. Its subtle nature is complemented by the fact that it’s one of an increasing number of electric vehicle (EV) chargers that don’t need an earth rod. Both Prime and Elite’s batteries will last for 2-2.5 hours on a single charge. The mini massage guns will last for 2 to 3 hours per single charge. However, I can see the value of this elite-level recovery tool for those whose full-time job is on the sports field. If you’re striving for marginal gains and have the funds to invest in those small wins, the Hypervolt 2 Pro could well give you the edge over your competition. It also comes with an extra two-year parts warranty, on top of the industry standard three-year warranty. Presenting all four Theragun models side by side, captured during our in-depth testing and comparison session.

There isn’t much on information about stall force for any of the Hypervolt devices. This is obviously disappointing, but we are experienced users and through our tests we can tell the stall force for each of their devices. Hypervolt 2 Pro, on the other hand, offers something different and may be worth your consideration. With 14mm amplitude and a higher stall force than Theragun Prime, it can give you the punch you need for a percussive massage. It almost matches the Elite model. Using the Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro. I also earned a degree in kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which primed me with a well-rounded understanding of human anatomy and how our bodies function, both independently and in connection with the world. All the Hypervolt massage guns are also TSA-approved for carry-on, making them a convenient addition to your suitcase or handbag. The Hypervolt 2 has an estimated stall force of about 25 pounds and a stroke length of 12 millimeters. It's incredibly quiet, so you can massage your muscles on the go without disturbing coworkers, other travelers, or housemates. But 2 hours is enough massage time and if you only use the device for 15-20 minutes a day, you’ll need to charge it again in a week’s time. Keep in mind however, that most batteries will drain faster when the motor is overworked – usually with more pressure applied and on higher speed gears.
