Non-structural adhesives are most useful where a temporary bond of low to medium strength is required. They add value in a number of applications:

Peel & reseal – our adhesive solutions allow the material to retain its adhesion strength no matter how many times it is reapplied.Water-borne adhesives offer several open times from short to indefinite and can be removed without chemical solvents. Their initial strength is moderate and drying times longer compared to solvent-based adhesives, but they have wide application temperature ranges. They must be protected from freezing. Glue dots are pre-extruded hot melt adhesives. They’re applied cold and provide a clean and instant bond. Glue dots are supplied on a silicone release – so are easy to remove without leaving any mess or residue. They’re also acid and odour free. Removable adhesives are pressure-sensitive adhesives, which when it has been applied to a surface may be easily removed at a later date. The adhesive itself displays relatively low final adhesion. Although it adheres firmly to the substrate, it can be removed again for quite a long period of time. Ease of removal depends on the nature of the substrate, the conditions at the time of application and the environmental conditions during the service life of the label. Tecbond 2507 FS: the low peel strength is suitable for temporary bonds – like when attaching credit cards to paper. The product comes as a small pillow and is easily loaded into the Tec 4500 B glue gun. Cleanly peel off – these adhesives cling firmly to both paper and filmic face materials, yet reposition easily and remove without a trace.
