In fact, most umpires dress in white shorts and a baseball type cap to portray a professional appearance. If a team is batting, all members of that team are ‘batters’. When batting, each of the team’s players will wait their turn to bat. There can be up to four batters on the field at one time - one about to bat, one at 1st base, one at 2nd base and one at 3rd base. For teams wanting additional metal rounders posts for group training, or to replace a damaged rounder post, we also sell these individually in any quantity. While there are differences between the rules set by Rounders England and by the GAA, [15] [14] they share much in common. The bowler, or 'feeder', bowls the ball with an underarm pendulum action to the batter. According to Rounders England rules, the ball is deemed a 'good' ball if it passes within reach on the striking side between the batter's knees and the top of the head. Otherwise, it is called a 'no-ball' or 'bad' ball. The ball is also regarded as bad if it is thrown into the batter's body or wide of the batting box. A batter may try to hit a bad ball but is not required to do so. A player is not out if a no-ball is caught and cannot be called out on first base.

Note: you can run on a no ball but only to 1st post and cannot get caught out (scoring remains the same). When the game begins, one team takes the batting innings while the other team fields and bowls. The bowler bowls the ball to the batter, who hits the ball anywhere on the rounders pitch.

The aim of the game ‘ Rounders‘ is for two teams to compete against each other. Each team attempts to score more runs (aka rounders) than the opposing team. Note: Batters in Rounders cannot get ‘caught out’ from the delivery of a ‘no ball’. In all of these examples, one Rounder equals one point scored for the team. You score a half Rounder (½) if you get to the 4th post without hitting the ball (e.g. if you are not batting).

The basic regulations for Rounders have evolved since the simple ‘bat-and-ball’ fun days played several centuries ago.As you can see there are only a few simple rules in the equipment needed for Rounders regulations. Thus, there is little to go wrong when you use a simple set of Rounders bats and balls. The following video will encourage children to engage with the general topic of sport. It's informative and easy to understand as it lists the key benefits of physical activity, for healthy and happier living.

For teams wishing to compete, having the right equipment is essential for both training and matches - here at Eveque, we have everything you need including rounders posts and bases, individual rounders bases, metal rounders posts and single rounders bases. As a general rule, players do not have to wear any special kit to play the game as a recreational activity. So, wearing some comfortable clothing and a decent pair of training shoes should be all you need to join in.the batter touches a base that has been 'tagged' by another fielder carrying the ball, in which case the batter must return to the previous base if it is still unoccupied; The main objective in Rounders game rules is for two teams to compete against each other in striking and fielding techniques. If you are between posts, you can keep on moving until you reach the following post. But, you cannot keep on moving to the next post when the bowler has the ball in his square. You can find a concise list from A to Z of the principle key words and titles. Our rounders terminology guide lists definitions used by top players and game officials.
