Our stainless steel warehouse has over 300 different products including steel tubes, steel angle, steel rod and steel round bar. These grades are magnetic and are best suited for applications which require good corrosion resistance with good mechanical properties.

We do not currently carry grade 316 stainless steel bar on the shelf, but via our trusted supplier network we can obtain most sizes within 24-48 hours. These bars are slit from stainless steel plate and then the edges are treated (rolled) to remove any sharp burrs. If you're looking for similar products to our flat bar stainless steel we recommend our square bars, hexagon bar or round bars. Standard finish is Descaled we can polish up to a 600grit finish in house 1-2 days and a Mirror Polish on a 7 day service. Stainless Steel Alloy is a standard molybdenum-bearing grade, the second most commonly sought after grade next to grade 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance in chloride environments. With the average chromium content of 18% and nickel content of 8% austenitic stainless steels are sometimes referred to as 18/8 (although the actual chromium and nickel content can vary from these figures).
